We peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into four.

Beat the eggs and mix them with the sour cream and the rest of the chopped dill.

When the potatoes are boiled, drain them and put them in a heat-resistant form greased with butter.

Put the cheese over the potatoes and mix lightly, then put beaten eggs with sour cream and dill on top and bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees, until a nice crust is formed.

They can be served both hot and cold.

When cooked, cut into thin slices.

What ingredients do you need for potato pudding:

  • 500 grams of peeled and weighed potatoes: about 3-4 medium potatoes
  • 4 large eggs or 5 medium eggs
  • 250 ml sour cream or milk
  • 250 grams of cottage cheese and 100 grams of Telemea cheese (250 gr of slightly salted Telemea)
  • 100 grams of butter or margarine
  • 50 grams of flour
  • 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • optional 1-2 very finely chopped dill leaves
  • 1 half teaspoon of salt
  • 50 grams of grated cheese
  • 50 grams of ham.

And now let's start preparing the potato pudding.

Wash potatoes, peel, and boil for 30 minutes in boiling water, along with half a teaspoon of salt.

While the potatoes are boiling, prepare the eggs. Separate the yolks from the whites. Put in a small bowl the yolks and mix them with a fork until smooth.

Put in a large bowl the egg whites and whisk them hard with the mixer. The foam is hard when the traces of the mixer remain visible.

Also prepare the tray: line it with baking paper, grease the baking paper with butter and sprinkle a spoonful of breadcrumbs on the bottom of the baking paper.

After the potatoes have boiled, drain the water, and while they are warm, crush them with the mashed potato.

Add the rest of the ingredients: 100 grams of grated telemea on a fine grater or 250 grams of sweet cottage cheese mashed well with a fork, diced butter, sour cream, 4 egg yolks, 50 grams of flour, and optionally 2-3 finely chopped apple leaves . Mix the composition well until smooth. Add the egg foam and mix everything with the fork from bottom to top, until smooth.

Pour the composition into the previously prepared tray and level it with a fork. Put the tray in the hot oven 10-15 minutes before and leave it 30 minutes on low to medium heat, until browned on top.

Do not open the oven and do not walk on the fire for the first 20 minutes because the pudding will be left.

Only after 20 minutes have passed can you make the fire smaller if you think the oven is burning too hard and you can still check the appearance of the food.

As soon as you take the tray out of the oven, while still hot, sprinkle 50 grams of grated cheese on a small grater and 50 grams of finely chopped ham.

When you take the tray out of the oven and the pudding is hot, keep the tray tilted and sprinkle the grated cheese on the small grater and the finely chopped ham on top.
